Transit of Venus, the morning of June 8, 2008, at Robert Moses State Park.

The Moon

Here is an image I took of the moon just before we were able to see the transit. I used a Konica camera with an Orion 127mm StarMax (1540mm focal length) at prime focus. I forget the exact exposure I used, but it was around 1/125 second. In color, the image didn't look right, so after some processing, I converted the image to greyscale. The film was Kodak Elite Chrome 200.

The Sun

These are my images of the Sun during the transit. Unfortunatly, either my camera was out of focus or the clouds were always covering Venus, so none of my images clearly shows Venus. I used a Konica camera with an Orion 127mm StarMax (1540mm focal length) at prime focus. The film was Kodak Elite Chrome 200. Exposure time is unknown, but it is definitely less that 1/125th of a second. The sun was dim through the clouds so I had to up the exposure time a little.
