First webcam image of Saturn

Taken in Oyster Bay, NY. I used a Philips ToUcam Pro 840k at prime focus with a 2x barlow lens. The webcam was hooked up to my iBook. This image was taken from a movie of about 30 seconds at 30 images/sec. I used Reigstax to align and stack and also to handle wavelet processing. Registax reduced the number of good images to about 450 for stacking. After that I imported the image into Photoshop to rotate and use Gaussian blurring.

The image isn't great, however the conditions for the image were not the best. This was my first attempt using the webcam, and Saturn was pretty low in the sky and near a neighbor's rooftop, which may have degraded the image. I ran into a slight problem with the image size as well. If I use a larger image size, I can't use an exposure time of 1/30 of a second. The larger images with a longer exposure time did not come out as well. I may need to get a more powerful barlow lens in order to have the image cover more pixels.
