Also took a quick look at Mars with 17mm eyepiece and 2x Barlow. I was not able to make out any features on the disk.

I think the wind was a significant factor. The stars in a lot of my light frames are not nice round circles, and in some cases was so bad I had to throw away and the autoguider lost the guide star.
