10x50 binoculars

Went outside my office building to try to catch the end of the occultation. I was able to see the crescent moon, which was about 10% illuminated, but could not find Jupiter.
While I was out there I bumped into Mike O'Gara, the president of AAA.

11/6/2004 about 10:00PM-1:00AM
Oyster Bay, about 45 degress
Transparency: 8/10, Seeing: 6/10
Celestron Ultima C8 PEC

Started by taking some wideangle shots (100mm focal length lens) of the area around M31.
After that visually observerd M77 in Cetus. Appeared as a small fuzzy patch surrounding a star. I'd estimate the size was about 5-10'. I also tried to see NGC 1055 which was also in the area, however I was unable to detect it.
After that I tried taking some pictures of the Pleiades with the zoom lens at 260mm.
The images that I took can be found here.
