College Point, NY
Transparency: 7/10, Seeing: 5/10
Temperature: ??
Equipment: Modified Canon XT with zoom lens and naked eyes.

Went to my parents' to observer the lunar eclipse. I took along my modified Canon XT with a zoom lens and a tripod. The weather didn't start out too good, it was very overcast, although the clouds were thin enough that the moon didi shine through a bit. As the evening progressed the clouds did clear up and just in time for the eclipse, just as Joe Rao from the AOS projected.
During the eclipse, the portion of the moon that was in the umbra had a nice irregular shading. I left my parents' place just after the middle of totality. Below are some pictures I took of the eclpise.
