Observing Log for Mike Durkin 6/6/2015 about 10:00PM-2:30AM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 9/10, Seeing 3/5 Temperature: about 55-70 degrees Equipment: 10x50 binoculars, 70mm Stellarvue, Canon T3i DSLR Visual measurements of variable stars FP Vir, BK Vir, CE Vir, BR CVn and TU CVn. Tried to see M87 in the 70mm and was just barely able to make it out. DSLR photometry of AC Her. There was some animal skulking around, so I quit before I could do R Lyr and P Cyg. I also noticed some sort of film inside the primary lens of the 70mm. I hope it evaporates, but so far not too sure it will.
