Temperature: about 70-80 degrees
Equipment: Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT

Took some images of P Cyg for photometry measurements. Initialresults look reasonable.

Attempted to detect exoplanet around HD 189733. However it clouded over just before midnight. In the future I think for doing photometry for longer than 2 hours, I should piggy back on top of the SCT rather than using the AstroTrac.

Photometry observation of P Cyg with my DSLR camera. There did seemed to be some wispy clouds. Even though my mesaurements of the calibration stars were excellent, the check star was off by about 0.03-0.05. The plotted value however is agreeing with previous values rather well so far.

Went to the beach for the Perseid meteor shower. When I got there, I would estimate there were at least 50 cars in the lot, and a couple of AOS members in the usual spot. The sky started out fairly cloudy, but the evening improved a little bit before midnight. Throughout the evening, I saw 4 meteors myself, with maybe another 5-10 based on other people's reactions. Not too bad considering that there was a full moon and too much cloud cover.
With the sky clearing for a brief period, I took some wide angle pictures of Cassiopeia and the area around the Elephant Trunk Nebula in Cepheus. The light pollution caused some annoying gradients, which I had a hard time dealing with.
