Locust Valley, NY
Transparency: 2-8/10, Seeing 4/5
Temperature: about 60-70 degrees
Equipment: Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT

Photometry measurement of P Cyg.
Also took an narrowband image of the Pac Man Nebula in Cassiopeia.

Camera: Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT
ISO: 1600
Lens: 75-300mm zoom lens, set at 300mm
Exposure: 2x10 minutes, dark frames and flat frames.
Location: Long Island, NY
Mounted on a camera Tripod and an AstroTrac.
Also used a Hutech Hydrogen Alpha clip in filter.

I was hoping to get about 60-90 minutes worth of exposure, but the clouds that night cut that down to 20.

9/13/2011 about 10:00PM-11:30PM
College Point, NY
Transparency: 8/10, Seeing 4/5
Temperature: about 70 degrees
Equipment: Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT

DSLR photometry of P Cyg, γ Cas, and R Lyr.
The moon was very bright, so I ended up shortening my exposures, perhaps by too much.

9/10/2011 about 9:00PM-11:00PM
Locust Valley, NY
Transparency: 6/10, Seeing 4/5
Temperature: about 70 degrees
Equipment: Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT

DSLR photometry of P CYG. CLouds moved in pretty quickly and cut the evening short.

9/4/2011 about 9:00PM-3:00AM
Susan Rose Observatory, Southold, NY
Transparency: 8/10, Seeing 4/5
Temperature: about 70 degrees
Equipment: Celestron 14 inch SCT, Hutech modified Canon Rebel XT

I asked Rich H. if he would accompany me out to the SRO to try out my astrophoto gear on the club obervatory. Despite the bad weather forecast, between 11PM and around 2 AM, the skies were very clear.
The first object I got was Stephan's Quintet. After examinig the frames, I had to discard about a quarter of them because the field of view jumped during the shot. Rich seemed to think that it was problems with the motor, but I think that it could have been wind or something else and the pier is not isolated. I also noticed that there was some drift between the frames, so the polar alignment may also be a little off.
After the Quintet, I imaged some frames of Comet Garradd C/2009 P1. I didn't have as many bad frames here.
After that Rich wanted to try NGC 7006, but clouds moved in and we finished for the night.
