A roccon came out again this week to get at the garbage can. 6/9/2013 about 10:00PM-11:00PM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 6/10, Seeing 4/5 Temperature: about 65-75 degrees Equipment: Stellarvue 70mm refractor and 10x50 binoculars Visually observed variable star Z UMa. I also took some test images with my new IR/UV cutoff filter to see if maybe I can use it on red stars. I took some images neat Alberio/Vulpecula/Lyra which has some stable red stars due to dust.
