Observing Log for Mike Durkin 10/22/2013 about 7:30PM-9:00PM Highline Park, Chelsea, Manhattan, NY Transparency: 7/10, Seeing 4/5 Temperature: about 55-65 degrees Equipment: 10x50 binoculars Went to the AAA public outreach session at the Highline Park. Didn't really look through the telescopes there too much, although I did look at Alberio. The colors didn't really pop too much through the scopes there. I did observe the variable stars g Her, X Her, T Vul, and OP Her. 10/20/2013 about 9:00PM-11:00PM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 7/10, Seeing 4/5 Temperature: about 45-55 degrees Equipment: 10x50 binoculars and Stellarvue 70mm refractor Observers variable stars V450 Aql, V1293 Aql, FF Aql, V Vul, and V Cyg.
