A bit of an unusually warm evening. 2/13/16 about 7:30PM-11:00PM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 7-8/10, Seeing 3/5 Temperature: 0-10 degrees Equipment: 10x50 binoculars, 70mm Stellarvue Nasty cold night and very windy! At first I tried to use to 70mm refractor, but my iPhone suddenly behaved like it had no battery power, so I had go back inside and recharge it or let it warm up. Visual observations of α Ori, RX Lep, S Lep, W CMa, W Ori and BL Ori. The foot warmers helped although after over an hour they couldn't help enough.
