Almost a last quarter moon rising during CH Cyg. Also of interest, at first I had the alternating bright and dark exposures on CH Cyg. Nearly full moon. First time trying g Her. 6/12/16 about 10:30-11:30PM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 6/10, Seeing: 3/5 Temperature: 55-65 Equipment: 10x50 binoculars Measured variable stars RY UMa and g Her. It was extremely windy and there was a significant amount of clouds. 6/11/16 about 12:00 midnight-2:00AM Locust Valley, NY Transparency: 7-8/10, Seeing: 3-4/5 Temperature: 60-70 Equipment: 70mm stellarvue and 10x50 binoculars Measured variable stars, Z UMa, S UMa, ST UMa, τ4 Ser, V CVn, BR CVn, Y CVn and TU CVn. Planets Mars and Saturn were very bright around Scorpius. Tried to see if I could make out M4 in the 70mm scope, but I could not make it out. Probably too much light pollution in that direction.
