Observing Log for Mike Durkin

10/16/16 about 7:00-8:00PM
Locust Valley, NY
Transparency: 4-6/10, Seeing 3/5
Temperature: 60-70 degrees
Equipment: 70mm Stellarvue

Originally planned to measure variable stars, starting with RV Aql, but some dogs distracted me and then clouds moved in.
However I did see the International Space Station pass overhead near the zenith around 7:35 PM. It was fairly bright, maybe around the same as Venus is sometimes(-4).
